A "Good Niche":

Using the same tools, the search term "frog collectible" gets only 965 searches per month according to Overture. However, there are only 12,300 competing pages for this search term with quotes in Google.

Not only that, but you know exactly what these people are looking for. By specializing in the niche of frog collectibles over the broader collectibles market, you can design your website and offers to appeal specifically to people who want frog collectibles.

By choosing a niche market, you also have a much greater chance of gaining good organic search rankings which will drive traffic to your site for free as you will have less competition to contend with. For direct advertising, you know more about the prospective customer and where to reach them.

Side note: Overtures search estimates are only representative of Yahoo search traffic. When all is considered, you can expect there to be 3 to 4 times as many searches on the internet as a whole than what Overture will quote you.
